02638 - Enabling Steering Column Lock

Na wat werkzaamheden aan de auto heb ik een error erbij die ik maar niet opgelost krijg. Allereerst even wat ik gedaan heb.

• B7 luchtroosters geplaatst en de plus bijgesoldeerd op de navi16 mod draad van de voetverlichting. De min op het massapunt bijgeplaatst.
• Candraden van de AFS module, die bijgeprikt zaten bij de gateway, weggehaald en geprobeerd deze bij te prikken bij de OPS module. Zonder succes dus de candraden van de AFS module weer weggehaald.

Toen ik de auto ging uitlezen had ik een bult errors. Ik had immers de gateway stekker los gehad. Deze allemaal opgelost. Helaas bleef er één staan. Eerst een stukje gereden en weer uitlezen. Maar de error gaat maar niet weg. En als ik de auto uitzet gaat het stuurtje van de teller knipperen en pingelen. De auto doet het verder goed. Ook gaat de auto op slot, maar gaan de knipperlichten niet knipperen. Bij ontgrendelen wel. Vreemd! Ook heb ik onder "immobilizer" een error, deze komt echter niet terug in de auto-scan gateway installation list. Hieronder de errors en een video van de teller als ik de auto uitzet.

Hello, I have the yellow steering icon when I turn off the key a few seconds later. And when I close the car, I do not have an intermittent light and no beeping sounds, I connect the ops module to the can bus on pins 16 and 6.

Oké, so the behavior is the same as in my youtube movie in the first post? No problems while driving, but when you turn of the car you got some beeps and a blinking yellow steering wheel for about 10 seconds? Do you have some errors in VCDS? Those would be much appreciated, so if you can post them here that would be great. OPS seems to be connected in the right way. Did you accidentally connect low can and high can in the wrong way, and fixed that later on?

 

It sounds like the same problem as I had. But without you showing us your errors I'm not sure. For me the gateway was broken. If you have the opportunity to swap it for another one, first try that. If the problem then goes away swap it back and see if the errors occur again. If so, your gateway is broken.

 

For me it felt strange at first, because the old gateway was fully approachable. I even could make some coding changes.

Hi man, yes i have the same of your video  i havent  problems while driving, but when turn of the car got some beeps and a blinking yellow steering wheel for about 10 seconds, i have the errors in vcds on adress 25 and 19.  First time i change the ELV in VW official but no solved, i try to remove the wires of gateway and return  the configuration but the probles continued, the ops system works fine. next mounth i try buying a new gateway...

You have exactly the same faults as I did. Only the fault status in the mobilizer is different. Mine was 00100000. What that means I don't know. For me swapping the gateway resolved the problems. Buy another E or higher for about €50,- on ebay or yunkyard and you can try out. Or borrow one if you are in that position. You can borrow mine lol

Good news guys, problem solved !!! whit a new E gateway , and not only that, but I also corrected an error with the climatronic too (I have installed the climatronic passat cc).

After two years now my steering wheel locks and my lights blink when I close the car and the alarm beeps too.

Thanks to everyone especially to @@Tarabass for this post and thanks to this forum. I owe you a beer !!!

Great to hear you solved the problem(s)!

 

I still find it strange that the gateway was broken after you installed PDC. I exactly had the same problem. But I think we will never know what caused it and have to accept that.
