  1. Hi! Sorry for the O.T! I contacted my local dealer yesterday about tuning my car now when ABT are doing the tuningdays actie. Didn't think it would be any problems getting it done. But there i was very wrong. First thing, the place in leusden where they do the tuning does not answer phone or e-mail from my dealer. They stop working at 4 , and according to my dealer they are so buzy they don't have time to answer the phone even. B*llshit is what i call it. Second. I would be without car for 4 days, 2-3 days for sending my ecu there and back, one day to do the tuning :s . Who the h*ll can be without a car for 4 days!!!??? And if there's a actie from the 9th of april to the 19th of april i should be able to go in on the 19th and say that i want to have the tuning done, and then for the actieprice. If they dont have time then they have to do it another day. All the talk about crisis in the oconomy and so on!! And then they don't make any effort to make the customer pleased. I was prepaired to spend the E 1199,- that the tuning would cost me instead of E 1490,- which i thought was abit to much. But now i won't spend a single cent. And on top of that i got a stupid useless answer from pon when i told them about this. "Regarding your email, we can report the following We recommend you for your specific question concerning the ABT-tuning of your Volkswagen Golf to contact the Service Manager of an (your) Volkswagen-dealer. He is the first person with whom you can review your complaint. If he thinks it is necessary he can directly contact the relevant department for direct information. We trust you enough to have informed. Yours sincerely, Volkswagen Klantenservice" That's not what i call klantenservice! Telling me to do exactly what i have allready done :S I give up! No ABT tuning for my part! Unless i get the offer to do it for the actieprice and then at the dealer, not being without the car for 4 days. Phew, hope i can sleep now
  2. I had abit of a problem too. Riped from my own cd.s to the sd card. When i tried with a different ripsetting then usuall i got the same message that you did. Changed it back to ordinary settings and then it worked again. I am using windows mediaplayer. When i changed the settings from windows audio to windows audio pro it didnt work anymore.
  3. hehehehehehe i have seen the pics . Not possible for me and i dont want the extra weight. Need the space also when gf wants to be in the car with me, she comes with a wheelchair
  4. Hey i didnt want to rebuild the car to a rolling vibrator. And if i build like you, i need rearwheel drive instead with all the extra weight . Need all the space i can get in the trunk, thats why the small one. And yes it works really good. Gave the sound the little extra i wanted Mvg
  5. Thanx appie. Finished off the work today. Connected the speakercables to the connection behind the stereo. The power i connected behind the fusebox, both the yellow mainpowercable and the weird blue one . All the cables i hid under the plastic covers on the left floorside from rear seat passing the b-style and forward. http://www.garaget.org/?car=219816 Pics here of the result.
  6. Thanx for the answer appi. I think i am getting closer to a solution here . Took a picture of the wires coz i have another question here's the pic. The original cableharnasse ends at the red/white rca contacts. The rest i put on myself. A 2-Channel Fixed Line Level Converter and longer cables. The blue cable with a glassfuse, on the tag it says. Connect the male terminal of this leadwire to the blue leadwire of carstereo. The female terminale can be connected to autoantenna relay controle terminal. Hmmm is this really needed? The yellow needs to be connected to constant power at least 10A. This one i can understand but not the blue one. Will it work good if i connect the speakercables to the output for the rear speakers on the stereo ? The subwoofer is this model. PIONEER TS-WX210A active subwoofer. http://www.pioneer.eu/nl/products/25/13 ... index.html Mvg Magnus
  7. Is there anyone who knows how i can connect a active subwoofer to the rcd510? Guessing i need to connect directly to the stereo because there isnt a loose amplifier to the rcd510 unless you have the dynaudiosystem and i don't. Found out how to dissconnect the stereo and so on, also that i need to go to my dealer when it is loose to get the antitheft code. But i have no clue what connection to use in the rear. Saw somewhere that there is a cableset with connections for subwoofer to use but i am not sure about that either. Answer can be written in dutch Mvg
  8. Joost? wat kost zo ding eigenlijk? Not that my name is Joost but it costs about E200 incl montage. I have just ordered another separate alarm for my car. Totally independant from the useless originalalarm that they obviously can bypass pretty easy.
  9. Is it only the RNS510 the bastards take or is it also the RCD510? I am also thinking about buying the navbeschermer but today i got a e-mail from Autobedrijf van den Udenhout BV Magazijn filiaal Den Bosch that it wasnt available yet but most likely it would be available next week. Sadly i didnt know anything about these problems when i bought my car, mayne i wouldnt have bought it if i had known. It's no fun laying awake at night listening for sounds outside. I hope it is ok that i write in english here coz my writing in dutch isnt that good. Mvg
